Magic Spoon: Packaging & Printability Breakdown

One of the fastest-growing high-protein, low-carb cereals in the market, Magic Spoon is just getting started. Let's see how they could reduce COGs and optimize for printability without sacrificing their iconic aesthetic.

CMYK

We LOVE a colorful design! Assuming these are printed in 4-color process (CMYK), the worry is always that those bright, saturated colors get muddy on the press. Using Pantone or custom spot colors can really take this to the next level, but might require a few extra cylinders/plates depending on the process. In the long run, standing out on the shelf as much as these 3D mockups stand out online is going to be WORTH IT!

Text & Color

Some of that tiny white type might end up getting pinched down by the colors surrounding it, again depending on the print process - we recommend making it a little bigger or bolder to be safe!

Complexities

Having a production designer on hand for a design this complex is going to be crucial - if Magic Spoon ends up printing with spot colors, triple checking the separations will be très important!
